Doubtful Sound
Doubtful Sound is the second of
Fiordland's easily accessible Fiords. Doubtful Sound is five times
larger than Milford Sound. Often described as the "Sounds of
Silence". This is the most remote experience out of Doubtful Sound
and Milford Sounds. Doubtful Sound is a beautiful serene
wilderness, a pod of Dolphins is always in the Fiord so your
chances of seeing them are dramatically better in Doubtful Sound
than in Milford Sound - some cruises offer the opportunity to fish
and kayak whilst others are purely sightseeing orientated. www.doubtfulsound.com
Due to controls on commercialisation -
Not as many visitors are able to experience Doubtful Sound each
year - please ensure you book in advance of your intended travel
